Fabric Portrait Workshop with Paula Rafferty Saturday October 5th

We are absolutely thrilled to have Paula Rafferty return to The Irish Quilter and bring her wonderful Photo Collage Workshop. Paula will take you through everything you need to know about this wonderful technique and the workshop includes the pattern and all fabrics and materials required to create this beautiful piece. 

Paula Rafferty is an amazingly talented international exhibitor, teacher, quilt judge, curator, and quilt and pattern designer Paula Rafferty has been working with fabric since she was a young child sewing clothes from scraps for her Sindy dolls. Her love of fabric led Paula to train as a Fashion Designer and after running her own design business, Reaction Fashions, for a number of years Paula returned to college to train as an Art Teacher as she wanted to be able to share her love and knowledge of textiles.

A prolific quilter, Paula manages teaching art full time, running a longarm quilting business, travelling to teach and lecture and designing and making quilt patterns. 

Paula is passionate about designing and making art quilts for international juried exhibitions and has quilts in private collections around the globe. Paula’s work has also been featured in international patchwork and quilting magazines such as Quilting Arts and Quiltmaina’s Simply Modern, most recently an eight page article in Patchwork Professional, a German publication.
